Dana Marshall Bellis is an award winning artist and illustrator living in Millersburg, Pennsylvania. He grew up in the same hometown as the late wildlife artist Ned Smith and like many artists, took inspiration from his work at a young age.

At the age of 14, he began professional classes at the Harrisburg Art Association.  Studying under the late portrait artist Leo Gilroy, he found a real interest and excelled in the art of portraits and figures.  He attended Pennsylvania College of Art & Design and Lebanon Valley College, graduating with a BA in Communication Arts.  Over the past 30 years, his love for people and animals has led to hundreds of private and corporate commissioned works.

In the beginning of 2011, he began illustrating for Pennsylvania Game News Magazine and his pieces can be found in the stories of many past issues.  In late September of 2012, he was honored to represent the Pennsylvania Game Commission as the courtroom artist during the murder trial of Wildlife Conservation Officer David Grove in Adams County Courthouse, Gettysburg, PA.  Those illustrations can be found in the January 2013 issue of PA Game News.

His first cover art for the magazine was published for the October 2012 issue titled “Through the Generations,” and since then, he's had ten total covers including his last "September In Benezette." His PA Game News December 2014 cover art “Days Gone By” has been reprinted for Sporting Classics Magazine Nov/Dec 2018 Issue.

Dana is a member of the Lewisburg Arts Council and President of Millersburg Area Art Association.
